Cheynes Beach Caravan Park is located 68kms east of Albany on WA’s South Coast and 20kms off the South Coast Highway.  Surrounded by Waychinicup National Park, Arpenteur Nature Reserve and overlooking the Southern Ocean, Cheynes Beach Caravan Park is the epitome of tranquility!

The Park consists of 61 caravan sites (with concrete slab or shade cloth), 5 group areas and 47 tent or camper trailer sites – all are powered. Sites are large, shady, grassy and offer some privacy. 

 

Many of our caravan and camping sites have views to the majestic Southern Ocean. Cheynes Beach has beautiful white sand and turquoise water that stretches to the horizon.

Cheynes Beach Area

​

Cheynes Beach is a protected cove, 45 min drive from Albany and Porongorup and 75 mins from the Stirling Ranges, an accessible beach that stretches for kilometres with aqua blue waters and sparkling white sands. Like much of the region, the area is undeveloped and virtually unspoilt. Offering little opportunity for agricultural development this part of the world is filled with these small undisturbed sanctuaries that hug the coast and provide a stunning backdrop for a camping expedition.

 

The whole region is a series of crevices and crannies and thick scrubby coastal bush which is home to many rare plants including Albany Pitcher Plant and Granite Spider Orchid. Home to various marsupials including Western Grey Kangaroo, Quenda, Honey Possum and numerous species of Birds, including rare and endangered and birds endemic to WA. The hills that are strewn with polished granite boulders and the green foliage and crystal waters make for a unique and memorable place to visit.
